Williamsburg Winery, Ltd.
Located on the historic 300-acre Wessex Hundred farm, the Williamsburg Winery offers the opportunity to taste, dine, stay, and relax. Tours of the barrel cellar are offered daily. An extensive tour with reserve and library wine tasting is also available by advance reservation. Winemaker Matthew Meyer produces 25+ wines annually including the 2010 Adagio, which won the 2014 Governor's Cup for best wine in Virginia.
The Gabriel Archer Tavern serves up delicious simplicity. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday with Sunday Brunch also available. Indoor seating overlooks the vineyard, and outdoor seating is under a canopy of wisteria.
Wedmore Place, a 28 room country hotel, is also located on the farm. Each room is uniquely decorated with antiques and art from a different European region. Inside the hotel is the Cafe Provencal,a fine dining restaurant that serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday evenings from the Wessex Hundred Executive Chef Ian Robbins.
