Find Your Sporting Side

Sports in Williamsburg, Virginia, doesn't necessarily mean a ball game. Year-round you can participate in it all – hiking, paddling, mountain biking, golfing and more. Paddle along the York River in the summer, bike through forest parks and paths throughout the spring, and even take part in 5k runs in the fall. Whichever choice you make is sure to yield an adventure to remember.

This is a great way to work on your paddling technique and also to enjoy some company while paddling. This is NOT A LESSON so if you have never paddled before you will need to attend one of my paddle lessons before signing up for this event.

Learn something new and exciting as you paddle up the creek or down the river; and don't worry, we provide you with a paddle of your choice (canoe or kayak). Taskinas Creek and the York River are so rich in their resources and we'll teach you ways to protect them.  Reservations are recommended.

Long before there was a York River State Park, or even a York River, 6,000 plus years ago, marine creatures swam here in a shallow sea. Early whales, porpoises, sharks, clams, scallops, and snails all left traces of their existence which we now find as fossils. Join us in discovering relics of these very old creatures as we hike to a fossil beach. The hike is less than two miles round trip and begins with a description of some of the fossils that are found at the beach.

Paddle Fit is a fun and challenging workout focusing on endurance, strength, core, balance and functional movement, a complete mental and physical workout on the water. By changing up routines and exercises you will see amazing transformations in both your body and attitude. Our Paddle Fit instructor will take you through an hour long fitness session on the water unlike any other. Paddle Fit is not your average workout, so if you don’t want to be average then come join us.

Our seasonal bird of prey returns to the Chesapeake Bay region. This ranger guided hike highlights the Osprey's role in the estuarine ecosystem. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras and viewing gear. Savor the view of these majestic birds feeding, nesting, and soaring along Taskinas Creek and the York River.

Just minutes from I-64 in Williamsburg, VA this is another must do event. After a 750 meter swim in the James River athletes will ride 20K over great pavement along Rt. 5 in James City County. Once you have laced up your running shoes you'll be treated to a pancake flat 5K on an asphalt bike path.

This event features a Tri-Blend Crew Style T-shirts, Custom Race Socks, Finisher's Medals, Professional DJ, Bounce House and a post race meal.
