Sports in Williamsburg, Virginia, doesn't necessarily mean a ball game. Year-round you can participate in it all – hiking, paddling, mountain biking, golfing and more. Paddle along the York River in the summer, bike through forest parks and paths throughout the spring, and even take part in 5k runs in the fall. Whichever choice you make is sure to yield an adventure to remember.

Our seasonal bird of prey returns to the Chesapeake Bay region. This ranger guided hike highlights the Osprey's role in the estuarine ecosystem. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras and viewing gear. Savor the view of these majestic birds feeding, nesting, and soaring along Taskinas Creek and the York River.

Just minutes from I-64 in Williamsburg, VA the Patriot’s Half is a must do event. After a 1.2 mile swim in the James River, athletes will ride through 58 miles of rural countryside on mostly flat terrain and good pavement. Once you have laced up your running shoes, you’ll be treated to a flat and fast 13.1 mile run on a combination of bike paths and jogging trails.

Just minutes from I-64 in Williamsburg, VA the Patriot's International is a must do event. After a 1,500 meter swim in the James River athletes will ride through 24 miles of rural countryside on mostly flat terrain and good pavement. Once you have laced up your running shoes you'll be treated to a flat and fast 6.2 mile run on a combination of bike paths and jogging trails.  The International will be run in conjunction with the Patriot's Half, you'll have a great weekend in Williamsburg!

Long before there was a York River State Park, or even a York River, 6,000 plus years ago, marine creatures swam here in a shallow sea. Early whales, porpoises, sharks, clams, scallops, and snails all left traces of their existence which we now find as fossils. Join us in discovering relics of these very old creatures as we hike to a fossil beach. The hike is less than two miles round trip and begins with a description of some of the fossils that are found at the beach.

Just minutes from I-64 in Williamsburg, VA this is another must do event. After a 750 meter swim in the James River athletes will ride 20K over great pavement along Rt. 5 in James City County. Once you have laced up your running shoes you'll be treated to a pancake flat 5K on an asphalt bike path.

This event features a tri-blend crew style t-shirts, custom race socks, finisher's medals, professional DJ, bounce house and a post race meal.

By changing up routines and exercises you will see amazing transformations in both your body and attitude. Our Paddle Fit instructor will take you through an hour long fitness session on the water unlike any other.
