Bartering for a Continent Lecture Series: “Before & After – The Effect on Indian Trade of the Arrival of the English”

As part of the "Bartering for a Continent" special exhibition lecture series, Jamestown Settlement historical interpreter Terry Bond will discuss the evolution of trade among American Indian tribes, from local products in the early 17th century to mostly European goods by the end of the century, and the impact on intertribal relationships.
The lecture begins at 4 p.m. in Jamestown Settlement's Robins Foundation Theater and is free with museum admission. Residents of James City County, York County and the City of Williamsburg, including College of William and Mary students, receive free admission with proof of residency.
