A December holiday event commemorating the one and only Christmas spent on the ironclad Monitor before its tragic sinking on December 30, 1862. Climb aboard the Monitor to enjoy a meal and experience daily life of the enlisted men and officers of the famed ironclad warship. Dine as an Officer or a Crew Member, and experience the typical meal of a sailor. With a drink in hand (whiskey grog, of course!) interact with costumed reenactors who will teach knot-tying lessons and provide live interpretation throughout the dinner. The evening will conclude with a cannon firing! More surprises are in store for those who attend, including door prizes and a raffle. Period dress or cocktail attire is recommended.
