  • Paddle Thru Past: $Canoes are $9/person or $6/person in a family of 4 or more, tandem kayaks are $16/person and solo kayaks are $11/person.

  • Past Plantations Tour: $$3/person, $8/family of 4, $25/group of 10

The Virginia State Parks will conduct interpretive activities that celebrate the history and culture of our Commonwealth. York River State Park will hold three ranger guided programs. The Three Rivers & Three Peoples Hike (10 am) will highlight the histories of the Africans, Europeans, and Native Americans who lived and live in the area. The Past Plantations Tour (1 pm) is a guided ride through the trails to the sites of old plantation homes and structures from the colonial period. The day ends with the Paddle Thru The Past (4 pm) where we canoe (or kayak) and discuss the roles our waters played in our local history.  Pre-payment for the paddling trip is required.  Reservations for all three programs is requested.
