Join the Mariners' Museum as they delve into the story of grog in the U.S. Navy! Food historian Eric Jeanneret will explore the tradition of the grog ration, the transition from rum- to whiskey-based grog in the early 19th century, and more. They'll complete the event with a tasting from Williamsburg Distillery and Ironclad Distillery to determine what makes the best base for grog – whiskey or rum. The event is free with museum admission and open to all ages. The grog-tasting is $5 and restricted to those 21 years or older.
