Come party like it's 1850!  From the mid-19th Century on, Christmas in America was celebrated with a crazy-quilt of traditions, thanks in part to Queen Victoria and Albert, author Charles Dickens, and America's own "melting pot".  Dynamic historic storyteller/musician Janet Emily Demarest weaves together the heartwarming, often humorous history, trivia and lore of our cherished traditions with some of the most beloved stories, poems and carols of Christmas past and present.  If you ever wondered if fruitcake really can last forever, then come laugh, play and sing along as you share the joys of the Victorian holiday season!  (1 hour)
