Spring Break at York River State Park

Locals and visitors to the Williamsburg area can discover the natural world at York River State Park during Spring Break throughout the month of April! Our list of activities include the popular Fossil Frenzy Hike where guests can find relics of pre-Ice Age sea creatures and keep one as a souvenir. The Taskinas Trek is a 2.5 mile journey through hardwood forest and an estuarine marsh.
Our newest program, the Stream to Sea Stroll is a hike that highlights aquatic life in fresh, brackish, and saltwater environments. • Fossil Frenzy Hike: Monday, April 3, 10, 17 & Friday, April 7, 14, 21 • Stream to Sea Stroll: Tuesday, April 4, 11, 18 • Taskinas Trek: Thursday, April 6, 13, 20 All programs start at 10 am. Participants will meet at the Amphitheater. Parking is $4 per car. Visitors are always welcome to visit the park for self-guided adventures. Park Pack back packs are available at the Visitor Center office.
