WWII 75th Anniversary Commemoration at York Hall
The Virginia World War I and World War II Commemoration Commission was created by the Virginia General Assembly during its 2016 Session to honor the anniversary of WWI and WWII events. December 8 marks the 75th anniversary of the United States' entry into World War II following the previous day's attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. On Thursday, December 8, the Commission will begin the commemoration with a special tribute program at the University of Richmond’s Robins Center, Dawn of Infamy: America Goes to War. In cooperation with the State Commission, the event will be live streamed in York Hall, Yorktown beginning at 9:30. The event is free and open to the public however, seating is limited and registration is required for all attendees. Registration will close December 2 or when space is filled.
