Williamsburg Bounce Pass Itinerary

Experience the best of Williamsburg with a Williamsburg Bounce Pass. Explore Colonial Williamsburg and retrace America’s past. Step back in time to a simpler way of life, when people lived and died for freedom. Then bounce into fun and adventure at the action-packed European theme park at Busch Gardens, where 17th-century charm meets 21st-century technology. Finally, cool off at the mid-Atlantic’s largest water park, Water Country USA. Williamsburg offers so much to see and do, and the Bounce Pass allows you to experience it all. To get the adventure started, try the tips below.

Day 1

Begin your day at the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center, where your pass will be validated for seven consecutive days. Stroll over to the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg, where history lives and breathes. The 173-acre historic area provides entertaining and inspiring encounters with “people of the past.” Take a stroll with Thomas Jefferson, dine with Patrick Henry and plan a revolution with George Washington. Blacksmiths, wigmakers, milliners, carpenters, coopers and a dozen other trade shops show how work was done during the colonial era.

LUNCH: Authentic colonial taverns nestled along Duke of Gloucester Street offer sumptuous fare in an immersive setting. Merchants Square also offers gourmet or casual dining in several delectable eateries. There’s a fare available for every appetite.

AFTERNOON: Merchants Square features unique shopping experiences set amid beautiful surroundings that mirror adjacent Colonial Williamsburg. Brick-paved plazas and sidewalks, gardens and canopies of trees are intermingled throughout the area.

Save time in the afternoon to visit the reconstructed Governor’s Palace, one of the 18th century’s most elegant buildings. Fifty major buildings and hundreds of smaller structures that have been rebuilt on their original sites can be found within the historic area.

DINNER: Williamsburg-area restaurants are within easy access to any hotel or B&B. Whatever suits your palate can be found at one of the more than 60 restaurants throughout the area.

Day 2

Begin your day at Busch Gardens. From castles to coasters, Busch Gardens takes the authenticity of Europe and ramps up the fun. The park’s six European-themed countries are filled with awesome thrill rides, incredible shows, mouth-watering food and amazing shops.
No trip to Busch Gardens is complete without a ride on Mäch Tower℠, a massive 240-foot spire that lifts riders nearly 240 feet above Oktoberfest. After rotating at the top of the tower and getting a few seconds to take in the view, riders drop at breathtaking speed. State-of-the-art special effects include enhanced audio and other surprises that elevate Mäch Tower to new heights in ride design and engineering.

LUNCH: In Das Festhaus, food is a festival in and of itself. Enjoy everything it has to offer, including a variety of sausages, hot potato salad and Black Forest cake. Indulge in beaucoup barbecue at Trappers Smokehouse in France, or be tempted with freshly made pasta and chicken parmigiana in Italy. Whatever your taste, find it in one of Busch Gardens’ spectacular European countries.

AFTERNOON: Cool off at Water Country USA and flash back to the surfin’ safari days of the 1950s and ‘60s with splish-splashin’ slides, a way-out wave pool and hours of fun in the summer sun. The park offers fun for the whole family, with more than 30 state-of-the-art water rides and attractions, spectacular entertainment and delicious eateries.

Guests are in for the slide of their lives at Water Country USA’s epic new drop slide, Vanish Point℠. Inspired by the point on a wave where water and gravity form a perfect partnership, this summit supplies two wicked-wet ways to drop out of sight. Either way, it’s pure liquid adrenaline.

In the mood to relax? Enjoy one of the park’s 1,500 free lounge chairs or rent one the park’s 16 private cabanas.
