Summer in America’s Historic Triangle is fun for the whole family. “The 17th Century: Gateway to the Modern World” Special Exhibition at Jamestown Settlement, Ongoing through August 15 — Organized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in cooperation with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, artifacts from European, Asian, African and American culture are exhibited. Admission fee.

IllumiNights: A Busch Gardens Encore. Through August 19. Busch Gardens celebrates summer with IllumiNights, a nightly extravaganza featuring live performances, music and special effects that culminates in a nightly park-wide firework spectacular. Families can also brave Verboten, Busch Gardens' new multi-launch, indoor/outdoor roller coaster. Admission fee.  

Shopping -  Outlet shopping in Williamsburg is a great way to get ready for school, why not do it on vacation. Visit many new outlet locations, including a CROCS store and Oceans & Ale, a classic seafood and steakhouse.

Williamsburg area concerts - Discover the sounds of summer with indoor shows and outdoor concerts from big name headliners and military bands to colonial medleys and classic hits.

Yorktown Market Days

Market Days in the Williamsburg Area 
A plethora of local produce, meats, seafood, cheeses, baked goods and sweets, specialty foods, seasonal plants and herbs tantalize the senses at our area’s farmers’ markets, held in the historic settings of Williamsburg and Yorktown. Area markets also feature live entertainment  and chef demonstrations during these Saturday morning markets.

Williamsburg Farmers’ Market - Situated in Merchants Square – 8 a.m. to noon, every Saturday through October 31.

Yorktown Market Days at the River – Situated at  Riverwalk Landing - 8 a.m. to noon, Saturdays May 12 through September 15, select Saturdays through December.
