Celebrate Father’s Day in Williamsburg

It’s time to celebrate the father figures in your life, and Williamsburg has so many options to make the day special. With extraordinary restaurants and breweries, outdoor activities, and so much more, there are a lifetime of memories to be made in Williamsburg.

Enjoy a Frosty Beverage Together

Tradition meets creativity in the local craft beverage scene. Five local breweries are serving up everything from traditional ales and lagers to experimental combinations of hops, spices, and fruits. Beyond beer, you’ll find distilleries, a winery, a meadery, and Virginia’s first hard kombucha brewery. The variety in ambiance makes for truly unique experiences as well. You can enjoy everything from fine dining on a vineyard to a food truck at an industrial taproom with Williamsburg’s craft beverage companies.

Get Outside

Located on a peninsula between two rivers, it is water, water everywhere in Williamsburg. Head out for a day of sailing to enjoy the historic waters and beautiful scenery. Explore a little closer in kayaks, canoes, or standup paddleboards. Do you know an avid angler? Take him fishing at one of our many parks offering fishing piers, lakes, and river access to catch bass, white perch, and drum. If you’d prefer to appreciate the water from land, try out one of the many hiking trails in the area that can offer gorgeous views of the lakes and rivers, as well as an up-close exploration of the unique estuarian landscape.

Dine Out

There is a taste for every father figure in Williamsburg. Wine and dine with chef-driven gourmet meals featuring locally-sourced ingredients. Enjoy culinary creativity at a gastropub or take in the tastes of summer with BBQ. Whatever his taste, area restaurants are sure to satisfy.

Play a Round

Williamsburg is the place for a golf vacation, with top-ranked, premier courses that bring golfers to the area and great supporting courses that bring golfers back. Here, you can tee off on courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Pete Dye, and Arnold Palmer. You can even play the same greens as PGA and LPGA tour events. With over a dozen courses to choose from, you can drive until you drop in Williamsburg.

If you’re not ready for the full course but want to share a fun round of golf, try out Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf. This award-winning miniature golf course features waterfalls, bridges, and tricky shots that are sure to bring the family fun.
