Historic Jamestowne celebrates American Indian Month through a variety of specialized tours, programs, and interactive activities and encounters.

Take a Native American Material Culture Tour, join Daniel Firehawk Abbott of the Nanticoke people to learn about the lifeways of the Tidewater Algonquians, or explore "The World of Pocahontas" exhibit  which draws from thousands of archaeological artifacts found at James Fort. Guests can participate in hands-on activities such as creating pots and using stone tools as the Powhatan would have done during the 17th-century and practice digging and screening techniques at our Kid's Dig. For a complete list of activities and times please visit our special events calendar.
