The Polynesian voyaging canoe Hokule'a ("Star of Gladness" in Hawaiian) is circumnavigating the globe on a voyage.  Hokule'a sailed into Yorktown on Sunday, April 24 and will host multiple public programs, events and public canoe tours while docked at Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown until May 8.  This Sunday, May 1, the Hokule'a crew will host a community outreach and education day at Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown including dockside education outreach and information stations, canoe tours, navigation, science and flag stations and more.  For more information, visit the learning center on www.Hokulea.com 

Scheduled public canoe tours are as follows: 

Sunday, May 1:                 9 am to 6 p.m. 

Friday, May 6:                    3 to 6 p.m.
