Why do birds use birdhouses? They are looking for cavities to build their nests. Birds that prefer cavities often thrive in a gourd birdhouse. Purple Martins are a prime example of this. Come create your own unique birdhouse gourd. Join Wisteria Perry, manager of interpretation and community outreach, and learn how to transform a precut and craft-ready gourd into a birdhouse. Decorating materials will include wood burning, alcohol inks, oil pastel coloring pencils, watercolor pencils, markers, acrylic paints and more.

Cost is $20 for Members, and $30 for non-members.
