Join us all summer long for free outdoor concerts by the York River! The Sounds of Summer series kicks off June 2 and runs Thursday nights from 7 to 9:30 p.m. through August 11, with no concert on July 7.
Opening the ten-week series is The Uptown Band followed by an exciting schedule that includes some bands that are new to the waterfront including Cat5 Band, The Deloreans, and The Adrian Duke Project.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner or dessert at any of Historic Yorktown's waterfront restaurants including Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree, Umi Sushi, Ben & Jerry's, Yorktown Pub, and Larry's.

Guests are permitted to bring their own blankets, chairs, and small coolers. No tables, umbrellas, or tents are allowed. There will be a dance floor, friendly games of Cornhole, and to-go food from rotating food trucks available for purchase.
Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots throughout town. The complimentary, wheelchair-accessible Yorktown Trolley runs from 5 to 10 p.m. during every concert with a modified route that still includes some of the stops on the outskirts of town.
Due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic-all York County sponsored and partner community events are subject to postponement or cancellation. This includes changes to dates, times, and locations.
