The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center is currently featuring the 2D and 3D artwork of students from six Williamsburg area high schools through Feb. 9. This exciting 2018 exhibition is WCAC’s 15th annual High School Student Show and includes 131 pieces by 93 students.
A Student Awards Reception was held on Jan. 16, when 11 cash prizes and 14 Honorable Mention certificates were awarded by guest judge James Warwick Jones. Mr. Jones is an award-winning artist and gallery manager for the Charles H. Taylor Art Center in Hampton.
Also on exhibit in the Fireside Gallery is a new selection of artwork by winners of WCAC’s 2017 Members Show.
WCAC, “the Blue Building,” is located at 110 Westover Ave. in the Arts District of Williamsburg. (Westover Ave. runs between Lafayette St. and Richmond Rd., two blocks from the intersection of those streets.) Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11-3; and Sunday, noon-4.
