The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center's inaugural regional juried show is open to the public through Nov. 9. Gulay Berryman, owner of the award-winning Williamsburg Art Gallery, judged the show-which includes 81 pieces from 59 local and regional artists-and presented cash awards to the winners at the artists' reception preceding the exhibit's opening.

The show explodes with color, shape, and texture, with a wonderful variety of 2-D and 3-D art. Included are watercolor, oil, pastel, and acrylic paintings; textile art; photography; pottery; sculpture; and jewelry. The artwork ranges from traditional to abstract to whimsical. Most is for sale.

Hours: Tues-Sat 11-3; Sun 12-4.

Note: Please see our Nov. 12 "Be Part of Art and Celebrate Our 58th Anniversary" listing for our fall fundraising Gala! On tap is an auction of high-end goods and services donated by local businesses and patrons, and entertainment by the Three Jolly Coachmen.
