Day 1

Morning: Go Ape Freedom Park,

Eat a hearty breakfast before setting off on this family friendly treetop adventure! The Go Ape Freedom Park course consists of rope ladders and canopy crossings such as the Trapeze, Wobbly Ladder, Big U and Spider’s Web, along with Tarzan swings and five zip lines. A thrilling 600-foot zip line finishes the course.

Afternoon: Hiking in York River State Park

Explore more than 30 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails at York River State Park. Open from 8 a.m. to dusk, the park holds a wealth of natural and cultural history with its fossil beds, found items dating to Colonial times and many Native American artifacts. All picnic shelters have grills, tables, and access to restrooms and playgrounds.

Evening: Go-Karts Plus

Kids will have a blast at this Williamsburg attraction, with its four exciting race tracks, mini-golf, water wars, bumper boats and cars, kiddie rides and a video arcade.

Evening: AleWerks Brewery

Adults may enjoy a visit to Williamsburg’s first microbrewery to learn about the rich history of beer. Get a guided look at the brew house and brewing process, and then head back to the store for a tasting and your own AleWerks souvenir glass. In the AleWerks Taproom, you can choose from 17 beers on tap, including a firkin (cask ale).

Day 2

Morning: Colonial Williamsburg

Visit the world's largest living history museum while traveling back in time and immersing yourself in an 18th century city.  Explore historic buildings, wander through gardens, engage our nation’s founders and gain a new perspective on our American story.

Afternoon: Historic Jamestowne

Continue role-playing in Historic Jamestowne as you retrace the steps of Capt. John Smith and Pocahontas on a park ranger tour. Or join an archaeology tour to see the original 1607 James Fort up close and hear about the most recent discoveries. You can also visit the Archaearium, Historic Jamestowne’s archaeology museum, to view artifacts excavated from the site.

Evening: Jamestown Discovery Boat Tours

Unwind from another adventure-filled day and discover the natural beauty and history of the James River aboard the Jamestown Discovery, a roomy pontoon boat certified by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Day 3

Morning-Close: Busch Gardens

This popular theme park is fun for the whole family, with dazzling Broadway-style shows, daring rides, and European dining and shopping. Here are a few activities we think you might like:

  • Hold on tight as a leisurely boat tour through the ancient ruins of Pompeii suddenly turns explosive when Mount Vesuvius erupts
  • Get up close and personal in an interactive animal experience such as Clydesdales & Collies

Day 4

Morning: Yorktown Battlefield

Bike the 7-mile Battlefield Tour Road or the 9-mile Encampment Tour Road to get a firsthand look at Revolutionary sites such as George Washington’s headquarters, Surrender Field, the Yorktown Victory Monument and more.

Lunch: Water Street Grille

Break for a leisurely lunch in Yorktown, right on the York River. The Water Street Grille offers casual indoor/outdoor seating, fresh seafood, tapas and artisanal microbrews on tap.

Afternoon: Yorktown Segway Tour

Hop on for a guided Segway tour of Yorktown, which winds through the waterfront area, river bluffs and the historic village.

Late Afternoon (Optional): Yorktown Paddle Board

Day 5
