Meet the staff of Visit Williamsburg.


Bob Harris, Interim Executive Director, Williamsburg Tourism Council

Bob was born and raised in the region and graduated from Gloucester High School in 1982 followed by Bachelors of Business Administration in 1986 from James Madison University.  Bob worked in the hotel industry in Williamsburg as well as Atlanta, GA before moving into the Destination Marketing arena.  Bob served as the Executive Director of the Atlanta’s Gwinnett County Convention & Visitors Bureau for five years prior to joining the Georgia Department of Economic Development as their Director of Global Sales and Marketing.  Bob returned home to Williamsburg in the Summer of 2007 to join the Alliance team. 

Vivian Bunting, Associate Director, Group Tour & Consumer Sales

Vivian was born in Miami, Florida, where her father was a chef. Later, her family moved to Danville, VA. When Vivian was eight, her family found a home in Richmond, VA, where she later graduated from Hermitage High School.  Vivian received IT career training through the high school work study program and worked various jobs in data processing until the “hospitality” bug bit her.  Vivian worked in the sales office at the Williamsburg Hospitality House for 19 years and joined the Alliance in 2007.  She promotes tourism in the greater Williamsburg area to the Consumer and Group Motorcoach markets.  Outside of work Vivian enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and camping.

Corrina Ferguson, Director, Destination Campaign Marketing

A native Yankee, Corrina relocated from Connecticut to Williamsburg just two years ago. With a degree in Biology (yes, Biology) from Clark University, Corrina’s first (and very short-lived career) was as a high school science teacher. One thing led to another and she taught (a lot) less and marketed (a whole lot) more. Regional and partnership destination marketing is now a 15 + year passion, and Corrina is thrilled to be here working with everyone in the Greater Williamsburg region. 

Dominique Holt, Associate Director, Conference Sales

Dominique was born Morgantown, WV, but spent most of her childhood growing up outside Pittsburgh, PA. A graduate of Fairmont State University, Dominique has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, working in Charlotte NC, San Diego, CA, and moving to Williamsburg four years ago, working remote on behalf of the Starwood San Diego Complex. Like everyone else that comes to Williamsburg, Dominique fell in love with the destination and joined the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance in December of 2016. She handles the conference sales markets, which allows the destination to create compression and drive rate for overnight stays, which also helps to fill the off peak pattern of Sunday through Thursday in Greater Williamsburg. Outside of work Dominique enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing tourist in Greater Williamsburg. 

Jodie Lumley, Coordinator, Sales & Publications

Jodie has lived in Williamsburg most of her life.  In 1991, she pursued a career in Hospitality, which lead to her current job with the Greater Williamsburg Tourism Alliance. Jodie manages the Blitz’s at our regional Welcome Centers as well as the Alliance’s publications. Jodie also helps guests plan their events from reunions to weddings. Jodie’s hobbies include painting, reading, and teaching women’s’ bible studies. She loves British TV and movies along with her fur-child, Cricket. 

Lisa Pacheco, CSEE, Director of Sports Development

I have worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years. I promote Williamsburg as a sports destination for local, regional, and national events. I am actively involved in Sports Virginia and the National Association of Sports Commissions  I am a graduate of the Lead Historic Triangle legendary class of 2013.  I am also on the United Way Day of Caring committee. When not working I enjoy spending time with my children Colby, Alyssa and Gabriel.

Dave Potter, Account Manager

Dave was recruited by Busch Gardens during the inaugural year of 1975 as a member of the opening team where he spent over 30 years with Busch Gardens and Water Country USA in various roles in park operations before moving to Water Country USA (which was then under separate ownership) as marketing director when that park opened in 1984.  When Busch Entertainment acquired Water Country USA in 1992, was reunited with the Busch Gardens team, rising to the position of senior director of marketing dedicated to leading the marketing programs for Busch Gardens, Water Country USA and Kingsmill Resort. After his early retirement in 2009 from Busch Entertainment, became a part time contractor for the Williamsburg Area Destination Marketing Committee. In addition to time in Williamsburg, served in marketing and operations roles at Walt Disney World, Opryland USA and other attractions.

Joanna Skrabala, Associate Director of Digital Marketing

Joanna was born and raised in Williamsburg. Upon graduating from Bruton High School (’01), she pursued an education in Boston, MA, graduating from Northeastern University in 2005 with a degree in Journalism and Cinema Studies. She manages the Alliance website and e-marketing, assists in graphic design and also helps to manage the Visit Williamsburg website. When Joanna’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Johnny, two boys, Milo and Ash, four dogs, two cats, bunny, and fish. 

Maria Washington, Tourism Events Manager

Maria was born and raised in Williamsburg. She attended Walsingham Academy and graduated from Bruton High School (’93). She then went on to study Communications at the College of William and Mary. Maria has working in the catering and event planning industry for 11 years. She initiates, implements and delivers events that directly impact members and partners of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance, including the tourism rally, tourism forum, the tourism super session seminars and the Prepare Care Share program. She also coordinate events associated with the arts and culinary tourism programs.  When she’s not working, Maria loves spending time with her husband, Howard, her daughter, Sydni and their adorable pug, Felix.
