Rick Wasmund is the founder and Managing Member of Copper Fox Distillery (CFDE);

the first North American distillery to build a traditional malt floor and kiln since the repeal of Prohibition. The Sperryville distillery, located at 9 River Lane since 2005, is housed in a rustic converted cider mill in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just 7 miles from the Thornton River Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. 

With a growing need for additional malting, distilling and storage capacity, he purchased the former Lord Paget Motor Inn complex from the City of Williamsburg in March 2015.
