It's a perfect time to discover the story of the American Revolution. The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown tells anew the story of the nation's founding, from the twilight of the colonial period to the dawn of the Constitution and beyond. Comprehensive indoor galleries feature period artifacts, immersive environments, interactive exhibits and films, including "The Siege of Yorktown," with a 180-degree surround screen and dramatic special effects.

Witness artillery demonstrations and drill with wooden muskets outdoors at a re-created Continental Army encampment and Revolution-era farm. Expanded living-history areas will be complete in early 2017, with a grand opening March 23-April 4, 2017.

Open year-round 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily; closed on Christmas and New Year's days. Save 20% with a value-priced combination ticket with Jamestown Settlement: $21.25 for adults, $10.75 for ages 6-12; under 6 free. Free parking.
