Q: Where is everything being held for the festival?
A: Friday night’s Pancakes & Pajama Dinner will take place in the Williamsburg Lodge in the Virginia Ballroom and Lobby, which is a few-minute walk from Duke of Gloucester Street and walkable to bars and restaurants.
Run for the Stacks 5K will start and end at Billsburg Brewery located about ten minutes (drive) from Colonial Williamsburg.
The Pancake Festival, Sausage Spring and World Pancake Eating Championship will take place in Merchants Square, a short walk from the Williamsburg Lodge and the heart of Colonial Williamsburg.
Dark Star Orquestra is about a 15-20 minute walk from Merchants Square, located behind the William & Mary Business School.
Sunday’s Pancakes Around Town will take place at all of the breakfast-serving restaurants around town.
Q: Where should I stay if I am attending the festival?
A: Pancakes & Pajamas is hosted in the Williamsburg Lodge and next to the Williamsburg Inn however all of our local hotels are close by and conveniently located in proximity to pancakes.
Q: What should I plan to wear to the Williamsburg Pancake Festival?
A: Pajamas are welcome all weekend long, especially Friday night for the Pancakes & Pajama Dinner.
Q: What can our pets attend?
A: Pets are allowed at the World Pancake Eating Championship in Merchants Square.

A: Tickets are needed for the Pancakes & Pajama Dinner, Run for the Stacks 5K and Short Stack Fun Run

A: No, Williamsburg Pancake Festival tickets are non-refundable.

A: Visit Williamsburg is the creator and host of the Williamsburg Pancake Festival. In 2026 we have partnered with the Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association to help grow participation and restaurant support.

Q: What food options are included?
A: The food vendors will provide samples to full-sized portions of assorted pancakes, side dishes, and other breakfast staples.

A: Yes, no matter your age, if you plan to consume alcohol, you MUST have your ID with you.

A: There will be gluten-free options on Friday night, as well as at the pancake houses.
Q: Will there be items for sale in the event?
A: Everything will be included, other than alcoholic beverages. The Williamsburg Lodge will accept cash and cards.
Q: Can I buy tickets at the gate?
A: Yes you can purchase tickets the night of.
Q: Where should I park for the Williamsburg Pancake Festival Pancakes & Pajama Dinner?
A: There is paid parking outside of the Williamsburg Lodge and Williamsburg Inn. Visit the Colonial Williamsburg site for more parking options.

Q: Are dogs allowed to participate?
A: We love dogs; however, this is for two-leggers only.
Q: Are costumes allowed?
A: Yes, get into the theme and wear pjs, a pancake costume or dress like your favorite breakfast food.
Q: Where can I get my race packet?
A: September 21st through 24th at the Visit Williamsburg office at 421 N Boundary Street, Williamsburg, Va 23185. The office is open from 8:30am until 4:00pm for pick up. Also, Friday, September 25th at Billsburg Brewery.
Q: Where should I park for the Run for the Stacks 5K?
A: Billsburg Brewery has a gravel lot that you can pull into but we suggest parking at Jamestown Settlement on the far side by Billsburg and the Marina.
Q: Is the Run for the Stacks 5K race rain or shine?
A: Yes, we will be running for the stacks as long as there is not lightning.

Q: Is the Pancake Fest & World Pancake Eating Championship rain or shine?
A: Yes, the Pancake Fest & World Pancake Eating Championship is rain or shine.
Q: Can anyone be in the World Pancake Eating Championship?
A: Contestants have to sign up through Major League Eating and will be vetted for a chance to participate. There will not be an amateur eating contest.
Q: Can I pick up my Pancake Trail prize at the event?
A: Yes, you can get your shirt at Pancakes & Pajamas Dinner, or at the Pancake Fest & World Pancake Eating Championship on Saturday.
Q: Will there be pancakes on site for sale at the Pancake Fest & World Pancake Eating Championship?
A: We are working to have pancake vendors on site. The Williamsburg Farmers Market will be going on in the same location from 8am-12pm with a variety of vendors. You can also visit Illy Caffe, Eleva, Hohl, Aroma’s, and our other breakfast options in Colonial Williamsburg.
