Spend time with Laurita and Lauren Portee, a mother-daughter duo, as they explore Williamsburg, in the latest segment of PBS affiliate, WETA's original series, Get Out of Town

Laurita & Lauren’s Williamsburg weekend adventure is equal parts historic and fun as they soar on rollercoasters, enjoy the lights show, and savor hot chocolates at Busch Gardens Christmas Town, before visiting an archeology laboratory in Colonial Williamsburg to learn more about preservation techniques and efforts aimed at conserving our nation's history.

Authentic and enticing dining experiences await at King’s Arms Tavern, where they try colonial period foods with a 21st-century spin, and at the Amber Ox Public House, where they indulge in farm-to-table southern-inspired cuisine. Laurita and Lauren also sampled several lodging options in the area, including a stay at the Williamsburg Inn to explore the hotel's grand (and royal) history, as well as the Marriott’s Manor Club at Ford’s Colony, where they stretched out in one of their villas and enjoyed a wine tasting.
