Focus Group Research

Visit Williamsburg’s research partner, SMARInsights, conducted nine focus groups in May 2020. The objective was to understand the underlying emotions that drive destination considerations, to identify common journey points, sources, and sequences, and to explore both the emotional and economic impact that COVID-19 had on a consumer’s intention to travel.
