He searches for untold stories and enjoys research around genealogy. These untold stories prompted him to complete the award-winning documentary The American South as We Know It. He’s also a licensed professional counselor by trade, has a master’s degree in transformative leadership, and serves on the board of the Slave Dwelling Project, James K. Polk State Historic Site, and the Tennessee African American History Research Group.
